The first thing that I can remember is that the lollypops, only ever brought out if we were at home sick, were stored on the top shelf of the closet outside the living room. This was in Wisconsin, in the house where my room was directly above my parents, and where I got my own room and my own bed. I don't remember much more about that house, but my parents have a photo of my dad and I with teenage-mutant-ninja-turtle underwear on our heads like superhero hats. I remember that when we moved from Wisconsin to Minnesota, my parents gave me a new stuffed animal cat for my birthday. They now say that we didn't move any time close to my birthday, so that shows how accurate my early memories are. My family now lives in Rochester, NY. I do, too, but in an apartment closer to the city, where I have a job for the remainder of the year, after which I will return to Clarkson University, in Potsdam, where I am a Software Engineering and erstwhile Literature major. I get confused when people ask me where I'm from. I was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Minnesota, legally reside in Rochester, but consider Potsdam, NY my home.
